It is essential to understand that equipping is not just another program fad. Rather, it is based on God's Word for us in the Bible, providing the basic foundation for how we are to live as the Body of Christ. You will learn the key values that equipping churches have and how to translate those values into behaviors of people in your congregation. In addition, you will understand the importance of having a specific vision for living as an equipping church and how to share that vision with your congregation and beyond. During this stage, time will be taken to define the leadership roles and to articulate who is responsible for leading in each area. Individuals will be invited into leadership positions based upon giftedness and a passion for a particular ministry area. We will define the difference between committees and teams and lay the groundwork for moving to and sustaining team based ministry.
