Building Support Systems
Developing intentional pathways to spiritual maturity

An equipping church is one that is intentional about preparing its people for works of service so that they will grow spiritually and the body of Christ may be built up. No matter what size your church may be, being intentional about having each of God's people involved in active ministries so they can live out their faith and mature spiritually is its life blood and biblical mandate. Providing a clearly defined and ongoing path for each person to follow requires that systems be in place so that this critical function is not left to chance. Although invisible to the members, these systems provide the intentionality that is needed to get everyone excited and involved with ministry and to build up the Body of Christ.

This workshop will introduce the three key systems that are the foundation of an equipping church. These are:
Prepare - help people become a valued part of the church and provide biblical foundations for service;
Connect - identify ministry needs, discover gifts and talents and then match the person to relevant ministries that can best use their gifts and passions;
Equip - provide training to each person in a ministry to assure success, use feedback to ascertain the person is doing well and provide recognition of and reflection on their service achievements and growth.

This workshop will also cover additional systems, namely administrative, strategic, and prayer support, that are essential and integral to the three key systems. Together, these systems will provide the structure for a church as it seeks to grow spiritually mature believers and minister to those who God brings to their doors.

This workshop can be presented in an overview format for those churches that are interested in learning what equipping and equipping systems are. The workshop can also be tailored for a specific church desiring to understand what it might look like in their setting. The ideal timing is a one-day session. When that is not possible it can be split into two half-day sessions.

Who should attend? The members of the equipping ministry team and church administrative staff (paid or unpaid) and leaders who play key roles in the current administration of the church should attend this workshop.

Our fees are flexible and are based on several factors including:
- Distance to be traveled.
- Time to evaluate the churches current systems before presenting the workshop.
- Materials needed for presentation.
- Six to eight hours for workshop time.
